One of my absolute favorite things to use when I cook is fresh herbs! I haven’t had any in a while and bought a beautiful basil plant yesterday. It smells so good! So, today I am making some chicken in the crock pot.  Not sure how it will turn out, but it sure smells great!

boneless chicken breast halves

2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh basil

2-3 crushed garlic cloves

2 tablespoons spicy mustard

Juice of 1 lemon ( I cut in half, squeezed out the juice and cut up the washed lemon peel and threw that in too for extra flavor)

Dash salt

Dash ground black pepper

Put chicken in crock pot. Mix rest of ingredients and pour over chicken. Cook on high approx 6 hours…or low 8-10.
